About IDBE

Professional Networks

Now in its 16th year, the IDBE Master's course has already proved of benefit to past students and their employers. There has been the growth of a network of like-minded professionals who continue to exchange ideas and support long after they have completed the course.

Alumni Resources

This web site hosts a password protected Alumni members area for current students and graduates which includes a contact database with biographies and photographs; a discussion forum; recommended reading lists; current and past research initiatives and guidance notes.

Achievements

Promotions have followed the maturing of professional knowledge and improved communication skills; new ventures have been formed stimulated by renewed confidence and new insights; and design competitions have been won and contracts secured as a result of refreshed thinking. Graduates of the course explain how the IDBE programme has helped their careers in Alumni Feedback. Read what our Alumni have to say here or download our Newsletters which feature our graduates and their achievements.

Contributions to IDBE programme

IDBE graduates have now reached a critical mass. Increasingly, past students are returning and contributing to IDBE residential study weeks to share their working experiences and discuss new areas of interest which were often inspired by their studies on the IDBE course.

The course is a broadening, challenging experience, which apart from fostering the philosophy and skills of cross-disciplinary thinking and working, allows you to step ‘outside the box’ and savour the intellectual and physical climate of Cambridge University.
